Student Safety When Dropping Off and Picking Up Children on Bassett Road

Auckland Transport Wardens are going to start issuing tickets to those people who park across driveways and on yellow lines. While I am on road patrol, I am still seeing cars parked illegally. For the safety of our students please abide by the road code.

Prayer For School Children (David Bennett)

“Father of all mercies we ask that you would bless the youngest and littlest of learners, the most helpless and powerless of persons, with Your infinite and loving mercy, granting them the strength to learn, concentrate, and act in love towards their teachers and fellow students. We also ask that You would watch over them, at home and at school and give them proper direction so that they may learn of Your wonderful virtues. We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen”.

Ann McKeown

The St Michael’s Family Tree

The St Michael’s Catholic School are in the process of redoing the existing “Family Tree” Tile wall in the foyer of the St Mary Mackillop Hall. The design will be the same, however the tiles will be ceramic to ensure longevity.  Anyone who purchased a tile initially will have their tile replaced free of charge. Families are also invited to amend their details on their tile if they would like to add the years their family attended St Michael’s Catholic School.

Please contact the PTA by 28 February on smcspta2018@gmail.com should you wish to amend your existing tile.

By purchasing a tile your family will become a part of this unique artwork that brings together the past, present and future of our very special school community.

The new tile wall is going to be constructed by Peata in March 2019 and will be unveiled on Friday 5 April 2019 at a wonderful gala event called “A Night on the Tiles”.

We now invite all families to be a part of this unique opportunity that has presented itself and invite you to complete the attached form and return it by 10 March 2019.
