Dear Parents,

Here are a couple of quick notices for this week.

Our school cross country is on Thursday 11 August. We will be eating morning tea at school and then leaving for Cornwall Park (Puriri Drive end) at 10am. The times for our races are as follows:

10.50am: Y1 Boys Race

11.00am: Y1 Girls Race

11.10am: Y2 Boys Race

11.20am: Y2 Girls Race

12.00pm: Parents Race

We will be cleaning up the venue and then departing for school at 12.45pm. You are welcome to take your children straight home from Cornwall Park, but they will need to be signed out first. I am in charge of first aid and will not be with the children, so please come and find me if you would like to take your child with you.

Children are to wear their PE gear with their house tee shirt on top. Please send sports jackets as it can get very cold at the venue.

Grandparents Day is on Friday 13 August. Families are welcome to pick their children up from Room 4 from 11.45am as they are able to sit with you for the Mass. Mass begins at 12pm and is followed by a shared lunch at 1pm.

The Grandparents Day Concert begins at 2pm. We are wearing yellow or orange for our performance. If you are short on yellow clothes, just send the children in white tee shirts with a yellow accessory, eg: a hat, lei, etc. Parents are able to take their children home straight after the concert.

On a final note, we have a lot of illness going around school at the moment. If your child is unwell before school, please keep them home. We are doing our very best to keep sickness contained at school with proper handwashing and sanitiser also.
