Week 8 Term 3

Dear Parents / Caregivers,

Homework: Thank you for taking the time to help your children with their homework last week. I appreciate all your comments and feedback. Please, do continue to let me know how your children get on with their homework tasks every week.

This week's homework tasks are in the children's Home / School Communication Books.

I am very impressed with the efforts that the children put in with Mathletics homework, please continue to provide time for your children to practise their maths skills at home using the Mathletics Programme. If you feel that the Mathletics level needs adjusting for your child, please let me know and I will review the level.

Glue sticks and Sharpeners: Many children need these to be replaced, please, as they often have to borrow their friends' ones to glue their homework sheets in and sharpen their pencils. I would very much appreciate it if you could check with your child if they need a new glue stick or a sharpener. Those 'little' things make your child's school life much smoother :-)! Many thanks to those parents who have already replaced those items.

Art Resources: Could we have some more spare kitchen foil/kitchen towel/etc rolls, and any old newspapers, please? The children will be building some rockets, etc (part of our 'Third Rock from the Sun' Inquiry Based Learning topic) in weeks 9 and 10. We only have a couple of kitchen rolls so far :-(...

Library: We will continue to have Library on a Monday (middle block). Please ensure your children bring their library books back to school on a Monday.

PE: Please have your PE gear at school from Tuesday through to Friday, including appropriate footwear.
