Dear St Michael’s School Community,
It is wonderful to be at Alert Level 1 with no active cases of the virus. It is great that we are able to celebrate Mass again with our community. Class Masses resumed this week.
Alert Level 1
- We are no longer required to keep a contact tracing register, but will continue with the usual practice of having a visitor and an attendance register.
- Physical distancing is not a requirement but is encouraged when you are around people you don’t know.
- There are no restrictions on numbers at gatherings or on physical activities including cultural and sporting activities, practices and events.
- Stay home if you are sick (Go to the doctor if you or your child have cold or flu symptoms).
- Continue to regularly wash and dry your hands, and sneeze and cough into elbows.
- Regularly disinfect shared surfaces.
Safety of Students at Beatrice Road Pick Up – Drop off and Pick Up Only – No Parking
There were a number of dangerous situations involving children and cars at the Beatrice Rd exit on Monday afternoon. Children were running among the traffic to reach their parent’s car, and were often not aware of the traffic around them. We must be patient and prioritize the safety of our precious children.
Before School: Please drop your child off to walk down the stairs to the right of the Church. If you wish to bring your child down to school, you must park at Bassett Rd to do so.
After School: Please collect your child from in front of the church. A member of our staff will help your child to reach your car safely. Children are not to walk among the traffic to cars without an adult present.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent Teacher interviews will be held on:
Monday 29 June (appointments available from 1.30 – 5.30 p.m.) and
Wednesday 1 July (appointments available from 3.30 – 7.00 p.m.)
Interviews are 15 minutes long, and can be booked through the Skoolloop app from Monday 15 June. Please ensure bookings are completed by Sunday 28 June, in order for teachers to prepare.
If you have any problems making or editing a booking, please contact Genevieve in the School Office at [email protected]
You are able to collect your child from 1.00 p.m. on this day. Supervision will be available for children from 1.30 – 2.55 p.m. on Monday 29 June. All remaining children will be supervised in the School Hall. Please note that due to smaller class numbers (and the need for less interview slots), Rooms 1 and 2 will stay in class until 2.55 p.m. on Monday.
We look forward to meeting with you to talk about your child’s progress, and to discuss the different ways in which you are able to support their learning at home.
