Extra Support in Classes
Over the past two terms we have noticed a number of students have not reached specific set targets and so we have made a decision to invest in more hours for Learning Assistants and an extra Teacher (Kate Smit one day a week) to work in classrooms supporting these students.

“O God, who guided Saint Bridget of Sweden along different paths of life and wondrously taught her the wisdom of the Cross as she contemplated the Passion of your Son, grant us, we pray, that, walking worthily in our vocation, we may seek you in all things. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.” (https://www.catholicculture.org/)

School Disco – Friday 14th August – 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

It’s time for the kids (and adults!) to get their dance shoes on! DJ Mike Cruz is back to play some sounds at this highly anticipated event so bring the family and dance the night away! Note that this is not a drop off event so parental supervision is required.

Payment should be made into the PTA bank account – ASB Bank- St Michael’s School PTA 12-3075 -199134-00

Entry Tickets $5.00 per child or $10 per family
Plus go ahead and buy your $1.00 tickets by adding the amount you wish to spend at the Disco (e.g. + $5, +$10, +$15, +$20) to your deposit. Additional tickets can be purchased on the night with cash. Some items to purchase on the night will include (subject to change):

For the past few years, we have had some generous families sponsor this much- loved attraction on the disco night. We would love to have one again this year but without sponsorship, we can’t justify the cost. Last year we paid around $400 for it. Is anyone able to help with sponsorship this year? If we can cover at least half of the cost with sponsorship, we will go ahead and book one. Please email Ree George at [email protected] ASAP if you can help.
The next PTA meeting will be held next Monday 27th July, 7 p.m. in the staffroom. Please register attendance/apologies with Michelle Leong (PTA Secretary) at [email protected] (All welcome!)
