Tēnā koutou katoa St Michael’s Catholic School Community,
We are back in Alert Level 3, this is news we did not want to hear. May God continue to bless our school community at this time. This was going to be a busy week with our Year 6 students who were supposed to go to the Art Gallery on Wednesday. I would like to acknowledge all the hard work that Peata Larkin has done in organizing this event. The Disco is postponed to a later date, thank you Ree George for all the work you have done towards this. We will keep you updated when we receive further information.
I would like to encourage everyone to have this app on your phone so that you can scan our QR code when you enter the school. We have the codes displayed on the office door and in the Junior Notice Board.
The teachers will be sending out remote learning as detailed below:
Year 0-3 students will follow the same format by using Class Dojo. A list of suggested activities will be posted daily to your child’s classroom page.
Year 4-6 students will follow the same format by primarily using the Google Classroom platform.

Prayer for the Assumption of Mary
Father in heaven, all creation rightly gives you praise,
for all life and all holiness come from you.
In the plan of your wisdom she who bore the Christ in her womb
was raised body and soul in glory to be with him in heaven,
May we follow her example in reflecting your holiness
and join in her hymn of endless love and praise.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
