Board Of Trustees Update

Lower Sports Field Update

Great News! After many delays this year we are pleased to confirm works to address the year round playability of the lower sports field are going to get underway before year end so we can start 2021 with an improved, natural turf, playing field.

Works will commence on 7 December 2020 and include the installation of field drainage and an irrigation system. While this will result in the lower field being out of bounds for the last week of the school term it will allow us to start 2021 fresh and move into the winter months without the need to close the fields for extended periods. Weather dependent, works will be completed by 18 December 2020.

Hall Tile Unveiling Event

The PTA was delighted to have such a great turnout from past and present school families and also St Michael’s parishioners, to this much anticipated event!  It was a wonderful evening to celebrate the unveiling of the new and updated St Michael’s Family Tree tile wall in the foyer of the school hall.  This beautiful and significant piece of artwork has been designed by Peata Larkin (artist and school parent) and we are so grateful to all the tile purchasers for allowing us to fundraise in this way. Massive thanks to Peata and her team for the many hours put into this project, to Caroline Harris and team for sorting the catering, Sara-Jane and MJ for their beautiful singing and to Fr Tony for his blessing of the artwork.  Thanks also to our very generous sponsors – The Tile People – who so kindly donated all the tiles for this artwork.  We are very grateful to Glenn Obery and his team there.

If anyone would like to collect their tile from the previous artwork, these will be available in the foyer on Friday afternoon.
