Teacher Only Day Update – 19 March and 13 May 2021
The Primary Teachers Collective, as agreed by the Ministry of Education, gave schools 8 Teacher Only Days to be used between July 2019 and June 2022. We previously used two days before school started. This time we are using two of these days to take part in a Religious Education professional development course. We chose Thursday 13 May because both Baradene and Sacred Heart are also having a teacher only day.

Religious Education – End of Strand reflection & sharing of learning opportunity – Thursday 1 April
In response to parent feedback from the 2019/2020 Religious Education Internal Review, we are reimplementing opportunities for students to share their learning with families at home at the end of each Strand. This term, the student’s have been learning about Jesus.
On Thursday 1 April, they will be bringing home RE books to share and discuss with you. Inside each student’s book you will find a reflective template on which you are encouraged to write a brief comment about the discussions you had with your child about their religious education learning. Please return these books back to school following the Easter break so that learning can continue seamlessly in the classroom. Thank you
Example of reflection page you will see in student books:
