A prayer for Grandparents
Dear God,
Please bless our Grandparents.
Thank you for the life they gave my parents and for the life they give to me.
For the ways they helped me and made me strong, I give thanks.
For the ways they love me no matter what, I rejoice.
For the ways they have paved the road that leads me here, I am grateful.
Let them grow in wisdom and joy in life.
Let them find peace and rest from their work.
Let them be healed of every sickness and pain.
And let them see with their own eyes the glory of your Son, Jesus, in the love of their children and grandchildren.
Bless them always until they come to rest in you.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Prayer by Diana MacAlintal © 2005
I wish you all a blessed Easter.

Grandparents’ Day
Help needed please!! The PTA will be providing morning tea for all of our wonderful Grandparents. Thank you to those who have already offered to help, we still please need help with baking and preparation and serving on the day.
Please get your bake on and provide a plate of sweet treats. These should be bite sized and easy to eat. Shortbread, slices, biscuits, brownie, mini muffins, scones etc. For catering purposes it would be helpful to know what you can bring. Please email [email protected] to confirm.
The PTA will be making all savoury options. Please email [email protected] if you can help with this from 9am on the day or if you are able to help serve and tidy up afterwards. Thank you!
School Uniform Shop
The next date for the School uniform Shop will be 14th May. Payment may be made by cash or online payment. Sorry no EFTpos available.
We are still quite short of stock for girls’ uniforms, especially larger sizes. Now we’re approaching the end of term it’s a great time to check out last year’s winter uniform and see if you have anything to donate!! Also, if you have any spare hangers they will be very welcome for use in the shop. To donate uniforms or hangers please put them in a bag and drop to Genevieve at the office.
The Caring Shed
The purpose of the St Michael’s Caring Shed is for the families within our school and parish community to provide Good Quality household items that can help to make someone else’s house a home. They will take most good quality items.
Please DO NOT put any broken or unusable items into the Caring Shed. Mrs McKeown has put a sign on the door of what should not be put into the shed, please take note of this when donating. To access the Caring shed, please get the key from the school office. If you have any queries please contact Louise Barnett, the Caring Shed Coordinator on [email protected]

The next PTA meeting has been planned for 7pm Monday 10th May, in the Staffroom. We would love to see you there – new members are always welcome, and we are a friendly bunch!
