I hope that you are all keeping well and safe in your bubbles. Please continue to pray for those members of our community who have been impacted by COVID.
As part of our Charter and Strategic plan we want to:
2.1: Establish initiatives to ensure that all cultures within our school are given the opportunity to share their unique perspectives; and
2.2 To cultivate an understanding of the multicultural nature of our school.
Charlotte has put on class Dojo the following resources which you can share with your children:

Anticipation of Alert Level 3
In order for us to establish a school roll and arrange for staff to supervise students on site during Alert Level 3, please email email@example.com if you require your child/ren to attend school.
At Alert Level 3, schools are only open for those of you who have no other option but to send your children to school. The Ministry of Education states “Ultimately, schools, for the most part, do remain closed except for those workers where there are no other options available for the care of their children.”

Daily Mass – During this time of uncertainty many people appreciate being able to follow and pray along with the familiar ritual of the Mass. We know this is not ‘going’ to Mass but it is a way of connecting with our faith community and joining in praying for the needs of the world.
“Holy Spirit, as families adjust to everyone being home as businesses and schools close, we ask that You guide people in their new realities. Give spouses grace for each other. Prompt worn-out parents to speak words of kindness and encouragement to their children. Help children find creative ways to experience the beauty of all You have created and continue learning.” (https://www.worldvision.org)

Families affected by COVID
We are still thinking of the members of our own School Community now who have been directly affected by COVID. We would like to send our love, thoughts and prayers to them and all others affected in any way by this latest outbreak and lockdown.
If your family is struggling in some way and we can offer some type of support like picking up shopping etc, please email the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, if you may be in a position to help other families in your local community, please contact us to let us know where you live and what you may be able to do.
Thank you very much to those who have already.
Fit Mums’ Group – Now online during lockdown
All welcome!! Our Fit Mums group has moved online and we have classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 8-8.30am via Zoom (before home-learning!) for $5.
They are Pilates strength based and also good for beginners. No equipment required, just space to work out and a mat/carpet. Children also welcome!
Please get in contact with Carmel if you’d like to be added to the group. Up to you which if any days you join! Carmel: email@example.com or mobile: 021 244 3141.
If you have ventured out to the supermarket and happen to have yummy stickers on some of your 5 a day, then please continue to collect the stickers so that when we’re finally back to normality, we can get some sports equipment for the children to use at playtimes.
Please return them to school when we are back as this collection goes for terms 2 and 3 only.
Please place them in the PTA post box or give them directly to Mrs Barrington
Last year SMCS collected close to 6000 points, which equated to over $700 of playground and sports gear.

We hope that you are all coping well at home and we look forward to seeing everybody back safe and well in the very near future.
