Joy of Heaven, we are so blessed that You came to dwell in each of us on Pentecost, when Your church was born. Surely, through Your Spirit, we have died to sin and are alive to holiness. May we serve You faithfully, in praise, prayer, and loving service to others, as we are changed from glory to glory.

PTA News

Working Bee

Thanks so much to Jim Rea, Ann McKeown, Sarah Benson and Ree George for co-ordinating the Working Bee. Some very generous families spent a few hours last Saturday working around the school to tidy up the gardens and grounds.

The PTA put on a BBQ to thank those that helped out. A big thank you to Mr McKeown for cooking the sausages after his hard work too. It was noted how good the school looked. Thanks to the Maher’s from Mad Butcher for giving the PTA mates rates on the sausages.

School Disco 23rd June

We are less than one month away! The School Disco has been planned for Thursday 23 June and we look forward to seeing you all there! The theme is Disney so start thinking about your costumes!

This year we are using MyKindo for the entry tickets and tokens that can be used on the night. You can start purchasing those tonight!

To avoid waste, we would like food to be pre-ordered, for both adults and children, through the app so we know exactly how much to prepare. Tokens will be used for drinks, sweets, glow in the dark merchandise and the various activities available on the night.

Entry tickets $5 one child or $10 per family.

Thanks to those who have already put their name forward to help, we still please need more volunteers to help to make this event a success. Many hands make light work!!

We need at least 14 volunteers per hour to help to spread the load and also help with the tidying up after please.

We would also still love to hear from you if you, either as a family or a business that you are involved with would like to sponsor any activity for the event. Please contact us either on ptasmcs@gmail.com or gio.penna@icloud.com

Pizza Fridays

Thank you to Room 10 Parents for helping with Pizza this week.

Thank you to you all for your continuing support of Pizza Fridays. The children love it, we really appreciate it, and it raises funds for resources for School.

Monte Cecilia

Thanks to all who have been donating good quality second hand items for Monte Cecilia. They came and picked it up from the caring shed with the help of our outreach students.

We are also going to be donating non-perishable (only) food at the offertory at each class Mass again now that we are able to attend mass in person, these food donations along with those from the parish community will also be going to Monte Cecilia for distribution.

Please place any donations into the basket outside Genevieve’s office.

 2nd Hand School Uniform shop

The next date that the 2nd hand school uniform shop will be open on is this Friday the 3rd June. You may have already noticed that we are trialling ordering and paying for 2nd hand school uniform on the My kindo app so feel free to give it a go!

If there is something that you need urgently for this week, please email Sabrina via the ptasmcs@gmail.com so that she can check that it is in stock for you.

Volunteering – situations vacant!

If you have a regular amount of time spare please consider joining Sylvie’s pizza team. This would mean a commitment of approximately 1 hour on one Friday per month to oversee the process and help the parents from that week’s class. Thank you!

Next PTA meeting

The next PTA Meeting will be held on Monday – 13th Jun at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to join. We now are holding the meetings both in person and as a zoom option.

Please contact us on ptasmcs@gmail.com for zoom link
