End of Term Prayer
We thank you Lord, for this term. For our challenges, our successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.
Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith. Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others. To be peacemakers in our family.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun. Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term. We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that cares for us.
May we always be conscious of you in our lives and return renewed and refreshed.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to Grandparents Day 2022. It was a big success with a packed hall and very excited children. Your many wonderful donations meant the PTA was able to serve a lavish morning tea, which was much appreciated by all.
Extra special thanks to Laura Thomson for co-ordinating everything and a really big thank you to all of those who helped on the day. It was a huge effort to prepare, serve and clean up, we could not have done it without you.
Grandparents Day is a very popular event in the school calendar and a great opportunity to show some love and gratitude to the wider SMCS wider family. The PTA is pleased to be able to support this event with the help of our community.
Thank you very much to all who contributed towards the raffle prizes. We were able to raise $651.00 from the raffle.
Please see Treasurers report in this newsletter to see where we have been spending the money that has been raised this year.
Scholastic Book Fair closes Friday morning – 30th Sept. Last chance to buy!!
It’s been great to be able to celebrate book week again this year!!! We still have the Scholastic book fair running in one of the breakout rooms above the hall. This will be closing after the book character parade on Friday.
You may also buy books to donate to the school library alongside purchases for your selves. Mrs Cordtz, and of course the children, are always grateful for any donations you make. Thanks to all those parents who have volunteered their time to make this a success.
Thank you to Room 5 Parents for their help with pizzas this week. Your support is really appreciated.
Venus, our Treasurer, has prepared a visual to show how we have raised money this year and what we have spent it on. We plan to make this a regular report so that you can see how funds that have been raised by the community are being spent. If you have any ideas about how we can raise money or what you think we could spend money on around the school, please come along to a PTA meeting and add to the discussion.
