We have come to the end of Term 1 and what a wonderful way to end it with the ‘Washing Of the Feet Liturgy’. Tonight we celebrate Holy Thursday Mass which also commemorates the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his Apostles. Tomorrow is Good Friday where we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. Please read below in the Encountering Christ section where all the Holy Week services are and Easter Masses. 

I look forward to seeing you all after the Easter Break on Wednesday 26th April as we have our Teacher’s only Day on Monday 24th April. 

These will go out at the end of Term 1. Parent Interviews are on Wednesday April 26 from 1:30pm to 7:30pm (except for Rooms 1 and 3 they will begin at 3:30pm) and Thursday April 27 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. You can book online for a 15 minute interview with your child’s class teacher. School will remain open this day and children from Rooms 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 will be doing Jump Jam in the Hall.

Our amazing Outreach Leaders, Reanna, Santi, Rafael and Miguel, recently coordinated an Easter Egg Drive for Monte Cecilia Housing Trust. Our school community collected five large boxes of Easter treats for families in need - thank you so much for your support in this! 

On Monday, the Outreach Leaders visited Monte Cecilia to drop off the school’s donations (thank you to Roman Casim and Karina Kumarga for transporting the kids!).

You may have noticed our wonderful Year 6 Road Patrol leaders “doing their bit” to keep our school community safe on Bassett Rd in the mornings and afternoons!

It is vital that as adults we also follow the procedures for crossing the road safely. The more our children see us following the road rules, the more likely they are to make good decisions when they are crossing roads independently.

Please ensure that you (and your child/ren) do not step onto the pedestrian crossing until you have heard the final call.

Financial assistance is available to assist families who may need financial support with the payment of Attendance Dues for preference students attending both primary and secondary Catholic schools in Auckland Diocese.

Pizza Fridays 

Thank you for helping with Pizza Fridays for Term 1.  Our school children look so forward to pizza and an ice-block on a Friday and we need support each term to keep this going.
