Dear Parents / Whanau,

Just a reminder that this Friday 14th August 2026 we will be having our full school Cross Country at school.

Children can come to school in their Physical Education gear, (please wear your house coloured t-shirt). You will also need to ensure your children have morning tea and lunch packed along with a drink bottle. The PTA will be having a sausage sizzle along with selling ice blocks, so please make sure you have pre ordered this via my kindo. 

The children will run in cohorts of boys and girls. The children will have parent marshals on the course to help guide them in the right direction.

A call will be made at 7.30am via skool loop if the weather conditions are not good - therefore we would use our save date of Thursday 20th August. Details will be emailed to you if this is the case.

At the conclusion of Cross Country, children can go home after lunch if they would like to with their parents. Please sign out your child with your classroom teacher.

Thank you once again to the wonderful parent helpers who are helping on the day, this event would not be possible without you!

We look forward to a successful sports day on Friday.

Due to wet weather the teachers are meeting the children in the Parish Centre under the Church, across from the Senior block. Please drop off your children there so their name can be ticked off the roll.

We highly encourage families to attend Sr. Ann Gilroy’s session on 5 September. Ann is an engaging presenter, and her talk on Inclusion offers valuable insights that are relevant to everyone in our community.

Good morning Senior School Families,

We urgently require parent volunteers to assist with marshalling for our Senior School Cross Country next Friday 14 August, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

Without sufficient volunteer support, our students will unfortunately be unable to participate in this event.

If you can help, please complete the cross country survey by 3:00 PM today or contact c.bagnall@smcs.school.nz
